This weeks program ( 21st January) will feature a segment called "All the things Scotland has given us". Now for all those smart arses out there who are thinking that this will be a very brief segment listen in and be amazed by all the things the scots have contributed apart from growling at the badger of course. A segment to mark the push for Scottish independence (sorry Helen). Slip into a kilt (or Pete a nice ironed frock will do) get the whisky out and swing ya sporrins at 4.00 pm on Saturday. Struggle Street - punching above its weight, hitting below the belt and going the full fifteen rounds!!!!
Hey Paul,leave our bagpipes and tartan alone! That's like me saying Advance Australia Fair isn't Australian because it was written by a Scotsman-Peter McCormick or saying the tune to Waltzing Matilda isn't Australian either because the tune was taken from a Scottish song -Thou Bonnie Wood of Craigrelea! Everything has an origin but it's what people do with it over a long period of time that makes it "theirs". As for meat pies...! lol
